This 1,300-acre Conservation 20/20 preserve will feature a kayak launch with access to Pop Ash Creek and the Caloosahatchee as well as nearly two miles of hiking trails. Opens in early 2008.
Directions
Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve West -- I-75 to Bayshore Road (exit 143) turn left, left at gas station, then follow frontage road (McDowell Drive) running parallel to Bayshore Rd. to Preserve entrance. Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve East -- I-75 to Bayshore Road (exit 143) turn right, turn right into Preserve entrance in approx 3/4 mile across Bayshore from Echo.
