Explore the remote kayak trail in Matlacha on Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel

This time of year, many people ask me to re-post a map that shows the marker locations in and around Matlacha. This is a fabulous place to paddle during the winter because no matter which way the wind blows, you've got a protected route.
The trail heads north along the east side of Matlacha Pass up toward Punta Gorda.
The trail heads south along the west side of the pass toward the south end of Pine Island.
The trail windes northwest along the west side of the pass toward the north tip of Pine Island and Jug Creek.
