The Estuary Conservation Association, Inc. proudly announces their second annual public forum series designed to increase local community awareness and understanding of environmental issues related to our local coast and estuaries. Join Susan Cone, owner of Up A Creek Kayak Tours and part-time Rookery Bay employee as she reveals the many benefits of this simple form of recreation. Susan will share tips regarding equipment, navigation and safety, favorite routes and stories of her adventures as a kayak guide. Having paddled the coastal waters of Southwest Florida for more than 30 years, Susan transformed her passion into her livelihood after a career as an accountant and then an educator. Susan is a certified Florida teacher, an ACA certified kayak instructor and a NAI certified interpretive guide, and has a degree in Marine Science from FGCU.
